Day Spa

Aaaahh.... what could be more relaxing and invigorating than spending some "me" time at a luxurious day spa? Don't we all deserve to be pampered every so often? There are so many benefits in taking a retreat to a day spa. Not only is it a day of relaxation for your body, but also helps clear your mind and feel at peace.

Massages:

  1. Reflexology - The ancient art of the Chinese massage that uses pressure points in the feet to relieve stress and promote energy.

  2. Hot Stone - Incorporates heated stones, aromatherapy and massage to soothe and relax your body.

  3. Shiatsu - Asian/Japanese massage uses pressure points along different energy meridians of the body.

  2. Laser treatments

Here are some helpful hints when you get ready to relax your body and mind.

  1. Choosing the perfect day spa - Make sure to check out the spa before you go to see exactly what the facility offers to the customers. Do they offer a sauna, steam room and pool? And if they do, are these services included in the price? Are there any specials or any bundle deal treatments? Check out their websites and if you can't find out everything you want there, make sure to give them a call.

  2. Arrive early and make the most of your day there - Get there early to take in your surroundings ad relax for a bit before the full treatment begins. Checking in late may cut in on the length of your treatment due to the scheduling of other guests.

  3. Decide what to take to your day of relaxation - I would suggest to come prepared with some of your own personal products. A towel, robe and sandals wouldn't be a bad idea if you are planning on enjoying a thermal suite (a series of hot and cold treatment rooms that consists of sauna, spa pool and steam room). The spa probably would provide them, but it may be for a charge and many ladies prefer to use their own personal clothing items. Don't forget the swimsuit either!
    1. So, to sum up... The main thing to remember when you hit the spa is to just sit back, relax and let the worries of the world slip away as you are pampered and treated like royalty.
